One of the annual highlights of our year is performing Pop-Up Shakespeare in the stunning grounds of Polesden Lacey (National Trust), near Dorking in Surrey.

This year the Cat's Grin Theatre Company will return to perform an original, abridged adaption of MacBeth, as well as scenes from Twelfth Night and A Mid-Summer Night's Dream. Each performance has been adapted to utilise the original language of the old text, while also simplifying it for younger audiences and with added comedy and audience participation.

The performances are suitable for all ages and a great way to introduce Shakspearian literature to younger children, in a fun and engaging way.

Each story will take place outdoors, at a different location on the Polesden Lacey grounds, allowing visitors to soak-in and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

The productions are free to attend for all visitors of Polesden Lacey on Saturday 17th August and Saturday 31st August.

Come along and join us for a Summer of Shakespeare in the sunshine!
