Once Upon a Time (KS1 - 60 mins)
Four fairy tales are given the "Grin" spin.

Hansel and Gretel
Left alone in the Forbidden Forest by their horrible step-mother, Hansel and Gretel are very tired and hungry when they come across the most extraordinary cottage they have ever seen. The owner of the cottage makes sure the children are well fed and rested. But is this kindly old lady all that she seems?
Lazy John
John’s mum earns a little money knitting clothes for people living in their village, but John never lifts a finger to help. In fact, he never works at all – never goes anywhere or sees anyone - until, one day, his Mum forces him to find a job. This little-known fable follows the comic misadventures of a very idle boy as he tumbles from one job to another, in a noble quest to bring home a proper salary to his long-suffering Mum…
The Snow Maiden
A poignant tale, set in Russia, about an old couple who have always wanted a child of their own. One day they build a child out of snow; a child that laughs, cries, learns and plays; a snow daughter to call their own – but for how long? What happens when Winter turns to Spring – and then Spring to Summer?
Rumplestiltskin
Spin straw into gold? Threatened with a dungeon of dragon-hamsters? What is poor Eleanor to do? When a peculiar little man offers her some help, who is she to refuse? But this help comes at a price: Eleanor is about to learn that a deal is a deal… is a deal!
